Victoria College's Workforce and Continuing Education Department is now offering an online class for educators that will include the fundamentals of word processing software. VC has partnered with ed2go to offer "Microsoft Word 2010 in the Classroom."
In this course, participants will master the fundamentals of Word. Starting with basic formatting and file managing skills, students will go on to learn how to add borders, clip art, WordArt, shapes, pictures and tables. Fun and creative lesson plans for introducing Word to their students also will be explored.
This course is part of VC's growing catalog of more than 300 instructor-facilitated online courses. Through well-crafted lessons, expert online instruction and interaction with fellow students, participants in these courses gain valuable knowledge at their convenience. These online courses offer students the flexibility to study at their own pace combined with enough structure and support to complete the course along with access to the classroom at anytime from anywhere with an Internet connection.
New sessions of each course begin every month, and each course lasts six weeks. Courses are entirely web-based with comprehensive lessons, quizzes and assignments. A professional instructor facilitates every course; pacing learners, answering questions, giving feedback, and facilitating discussions.
