Editor, the Advocate:
Concerning the article "Crossing the Line," in the Advocate Jan. 20, the article was very interesting and informative. As I followed the story concerning Jimmy and Kathy Gips, a paragraph caught my attention: "In 1997, Houston-based Kinder Morgan had been formed by former Enron executives." This company was brought down by a single individual. Greed is what drove this company. Is there any Texan who has not heard of and/or know what this company did to the people who worked for them? Many of these people have not recovered, nor will they ever recover because of the financial greed the executives perpetuated. Enron and Kinder Morgan are one in the same.
Again, this company, under the name Kinder Morgan, is trying to grab landowner's property. Greed is what drives them.
Fellow Texans, do not let this happen again. One person made a difference; can you imagine what several people could accomplish?
