The driver of a semi-truck was transported to DeTar Hospital Navarro after his truck overturned about 5:30 a.m. Friday near Yorktown.

He was trapped in his truck for about an hour and a half and the crude oil he was transporting spilled out of the truck, said DeWitt County Sheriff Jode Zavesky.

The driver said he was swerving to avoid hitting a deer, which caused his truck to roll, Zavesky said.

The Department of Public Safety investigated the wreck.

His name and condition was not available.
