The chapter was named the Most Improved Chapter in the state, earning a "Jake" award.

The honor earns Patterson a spot at the national Jaycee convention in Iowa in June.

The local chapter was also honored with plaques for Year End Membership Growth and Year End New Member Add plaques, as well as the Presidential Award of Honor to Patterson.

In 2011, the chapter was able to complete its sustainable projects such as the monthly Country Opry, Senior Citizen Homecoming and Prom, Picnic for Citizens with Disabilities, Shopping Tour for Underprivileged Children, as well as host the business side projects of the Victoria Livestock Show.

The chapter also held a clothing drive that helped more than 400 local residents in need.

Victoria Jaycees also hosted the inaugural Crossroads Cowboy Classic Bull Ride and took part in several other new projects, including fundraisers at the Armadillo Festival.
