A concert from the June Victoria Bach Festival was featured on the American Public Media's "Performance Today" on Tuesday.

The selected program included performances by pianist Michelle Schumann and vibraphonist Graeme Francis perform Arvo Pärt's Spiegel im Spiegel "Mirror in the Mirror" and J.S. Bach's Prelude No. 1 in C from the Well-Tempered Clavier, according to the Victoria Bach Festival news release.

The show will broadcast on 260 public radio stations nationwide and averages about 1.3 million listeners each week.

"It was a unique blend," said Nina Di Leo, executive director of the Victoria Bach Festival Association.

The program's associate producer agreed. Jeff Bina said the concert had a unique texture with the both instruments and the performance was clean, accurate and moving.

"There was a good recording quality that is representative of the concert experience," he said.

Bina said Victoria Bach Festival performances have been selected about three previous times to air on the national program.

Di Leo said that she's flattered by the recognition.

"The whole program is so exciting and we're glad to be a part of it," she said.
