Schedule of New Year's holiday closings

The New Year's week schedule for governmental offices and other services in the Victoria area includes:
Automated garbage collection, yard waste and brush will be picked up as normally scheduled on Monday.
Live Christmas trees will be picked up as yard waste beginning Monday. Only live trees, but no flocked trees, will be picked up, and the stand, all lights and decorations must be removed.
The Huvar Recycling Center is closed on Mondays. The landfill is closed Monday.
CITY AND COUNTY OFFICES
All non-emergency city offices will be closed Monday. City hall, the Victoria City-County Health Department and Victoria County offices will be closed Monday. The Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission will be closed Monday. City, county and state emergency services will continue to operate. The Victoria Transit will be closed Monday.
All museums will be closed Monday.
The Victoria Public Library will be closed Monday. The Victoria College/University of Houston-Victoria Library re-opened Monday.
Workforce Solutions-Golden Crescent, Department of Public Safety driver's license office, Texas Department of Human Services, and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will follow their normal schedule.
U.S. POSTAL SERVICE
The post offices will be closed on Monday.
Bank of America, First Victoria National Bank, Wells Fargo, Capitol One, Trust Texas Bank, IBC Bank and American Bank will be closed Monday. Prosperity Bank will be open Monday. First Convenience Bank will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.
All public and private schools will be closed through Monday, except St. Joseph High School, which resumes classes Monday.
The Victoria College campus and the University of Houston-Victoria campus will be open Monday.
All departments will resume regular hours on Monday.
