The Victoria Police Department is investigating a string of windows damaged by a BB gun in the early morning of New Year's Day.

Police do not have any suspect information, but many of the windows damaged were in the north part of Victoria, interim Sgt. David Brogger said.

The new Discount Tire, in the 9000 block of North Navarro Street, had at least three windows damaged, Brogger said.

Damage at the tire company is at least $3,000; that is not including the two or three other windows damaged in separate buildings, he said.

The windows of 14 cars in the area north of Mockingbird Lane also were hit, he said.

Some of the areas where vehicles were vandalized include Castle Hills, Castle Hills West, Bridle Ridge and Northcrest.

Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to call the Victoria Crime Stoppers at 361-572-4200.
