Victoria ranked among nation's improving housing markets

Victoria's housing market is on the rise, recent data shows.
The city was among 40 metropolitan areas to join the National Association of Home Builders/ First American Improving Markets Index, according to a National Association of Home Builders news release.
It brings the number to 76 improving markets total.
The list includes communities that have seen improvement in housing permits, employment and home prices for at least six consecutive months.
