A 14-year-old girl was injured in a wreck on Houston Highway just east of Delmar Street at 5:36 p.m. Wednesday.

Augustine Garcia, 29, of Victoria, who was driving a silver Buick, was pulling out from the Tanglewood Square shopping center parking lot.

He struck a grey Chrysler Pacifica that was stopped in the turn lane of Houston Highway, said Senior Patrol Officer Adam Garcia.

The driver of the Pacifica was identified as Erika Rodriguez, 39, of Victoria, said Lt. Jason Cross.

The teenager, who was in the Chrysler, was transported to Citizens Medical Center with unknown injuries. Rodriguez and another passenger were not injured.

Garcia, who was not injured, will be found at fault in the accident report for failure to yield the right of way, the patrol officer said.
