Editor, the Advocate:
Girl Scout cookies are something almost everyone loves. Even burglars.
This morWning, as I opened the back of my car to pull out the order for my daughter's teacher, I realized that all the boxes of cookies we had picked up the day before were gone.
No, we did not eat them in our sleep, and no, we did not misplace them.
I forgot to lock my car doors when we pulled up to the house last night because we spotted neighbors down the block - potential customers. So, off we went running to make the sales.
So, to that burglar who thinks he hit the jackpot with 48 boxes of deliciousness, have you ever heard of karma? Stealing cookies from children is definitely BAD for your karma.
Everyone, at some point in their lives, tests the boundaries of the rules of society. This is petty theft, nothing too serious YET. But to you, my cookie bandit, I hope that you do get caught, and that the consequences force you to reconsider your current path of crime.
If you know anything about this crime, please report it to the police.
You may be saving them from a life of crime.
