Recent rains may bring possible flooding into the Crossroads' weekend forecast.
The Guadalupe River sat at 15.06 feet at 1 p.m. Friday and already had begun to rise, said Greg Wilk, forecaster for meteorology with the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi.
While the river was expected to rise to near 26.5 feet by Sunday morning, it could rise to 27 feet - or moderate flooding - in Victoria, he said.
In Bloomington, the river sat at 9.43 feet Friday afternoon, Wilk said, and was expected to rise above flood stage by early Saturday.
The Guadalupe is forecasted to reach near 27 feet by Monday morning, which qualifies as major flooding for Bloomington.
Although earlier forecasts called for higher river levels, Wilk said later revisions scaled expectations back.
