A Victoria County jury found a Yoakum man not guilty of injury to a disabled/elderly individual following two days of deliberations.
Jurors recessed about 6 p.m. and returned Thursday morning.
"I was very impressed with how much effort the jury put into deliberations," said Wagner's defense attorney, Brent Dornburg. "I was extremely satisfied with the verdict."
Ronald Wayne Wagner, 52, was charged with the third-degree felony crime of striking a victim with his hands in September.
Victoria County District Judge Stephen Williams presided over the case.
Assistant District Attorneys Allison Jones Marek and Johna Stallings, of the Victoria County District Attorney's Office, prosecuted the case.
