Editor, the Advocate:
I am in support of Judge Annie Ramos to be our County Commissioner for Pct. 1, Victoria County, Texas.
Like the saying goes, once a judge always a judge. She has 30 years of county government experience. This is an asset to this position. My understanding is 95 percent is administrative.
Our Commissioner's Court is governed by the government, state and local laws. Judge Annie Ramos has 420 hours of classes under these laws.
This is important knowledge to a commissioner in order to make legal decisions. Budget and personnel knowledge is another experience asset to the county. As for the roads and ditches, the county already has experienced personnel to take care of those issues.
She has the mind, a big heart and the willingness that is needed for a person to do the job.
