A 36-year-old Yorktown man was sentenced to 15 years in prison after he was found guilty of indecency with a child.
Rudy Pompa was convicted by a DeWitt County jury Thursday following a four-day trial in Cuero, according to a news release from District Attorney Michael Sheppard.
Pompa was convicted of molesting a 9-year-old girl in Yorktown.
Testimony also showed two other female victims who claimed Pompa also molested them when they were 9 years old, according to the news release.
District Judge Pat Kelly set the sentence after hearing punishment testimony. Evidence showed he previously molested a 5 or 6-year-old girl.
Assistant District Attorney Alger Kendall prosecuted the case.
Victoria attorney Tali Villafranca represented Pompa.
The second-degree felony carried a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
