Thumbs-up to the Advocate "Best of the Best" on Mar. 25 for listing Cinemark Theatre as Best Community Theatre and mention of the superb Metropolitan Opera HD series that the theatre offers.
Thumbs-down to individuals taking dogs into public places like banks, Lowes, etc. Dogs do not belong in a public place. What's next, your horse or snake?

Thumbs-down to the Victoria Police Department for no school zone patrol in front of Torres Elementary. A whole school year has gone by without any service. I take my son to school every day and see, among others, company trucks going to work on the loop speeding with no regard for the school zone. I know it's not the North side, but come on! Our kids on the South side need VPDs services also. I do pay taxes and their paychecks!
