Crystal King is the new site director for Dow Chemical's Seadrift Operations.

She replaces Brad Fedorchak, who is now the company's business manufacturing leader for polyurethanes in Freeport.

King's career with Dow began in La Porte in 1988, where she held positions in polyurethanes TR&D, A-plant and site logistics. She was named Supply Chain Operations Leader for polyurethanes in Freeport in 1997.

In 2000 she accepted a role with workforce planning, where she worked as hiring manager for North American M&E. She relocated to Plaquemine, La. two years later, where she served as production leader for light hydrocarbons 2.

In 2004, King became site/production leader for Grand Bayou Operations.

Earl Shipp, vice president of Dow Texas Operations and Global Manufacturing Services, said King's diverse background would be an asset to the Seadrift site.

"Seadrift's manufacturing assets are vital to the success of several businesses and the safe, efficient operation of the site is critical," he said. "I look forward to working with Crystal and the Seadrift team."

King said she was pleased to return to Texas and assume her new role.

"The Seadrift Operations site has a well-earned reputation for having great employees who are dedicated to operational excellence and committed to the success of local communities," she said. "I'm excited about the opportunity."
