A 13-year-old girl was transported to DeTar Hospital Navarro at 9:20 p.m. Sunday after the car she was riding in was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle, Victoria Police Officer B. Cerny said.

The driver of the grey Dodge Charger, Roxanne Pena, 24, was driving north on Navarro Street when the vehicle struck her car at the intersection of Red River and Navarro streets. Pena was not injured.

The vehicle that struck Pena's car fled the scene, but Cerny said witnesses identified it as a truck.

Cerny said the wreck was under investigation. No citations were given.
