Shutterbug Camera Club presents 'Alaska'
June 14, 2012 at 1:14 a.m.
Fain Zimmerman, an experienced photographer from Victoria, will present a program on Alaska for the DeWitt County Shutterbug Camera Club at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative Building, 909 E. Broadway St., Cuero.
Zimmerman will show photos from a trip she took last year to Alaska, set up by the Ornithological Society. The purpose of the trip was to identify as many birds as possible in that region.
The photoshare for June will be "Here Today - Gone Tomorrow." Take photos of things or places that may be old and may not be around tomorrow, such as old buildings or objects. Email photos to Glenn Robertson, president of the Shutterbug Camera Club, at firstname.lastname@example.org or bring the hard copies to the photography meeting.
Anyone with an interest in photography may come to the meetings. The club emphasizes many aspects of photography from beginner basics to advanced concepts. Meetings are at the GVEC Building in Cuero at 7 p.m. every third Tuesday of the month.
