It is perhaps one of Jennifer Pohler's most prized photos.

The photo is a simple one: a grandfather, Pohler's father, fishing with her 2-year-old son Crosby in Port O'Connor.

But it's the meaning behind the photo that really makes this snapshot an instant memory for Pohler.

The photo reminds her of Memorial Day 25 years ago, when her father took her down to the old sea wall in Port O'Connor to go fishing for piggy perch.

Now, her father is reliving that memory with his grandson.

He bought him a Spider-Man fishing pole, sat Crosby on his lap, baited his line and simply fished.

Soon after, Crosby caught his first piggy perch. For Pohler, it was like stepping back in time.

"You should have seen that boy smile and squeal with excitement," Crosby's mother writes in her entry. "In my eyes and his grandson's eyes, that makes him pretty special."
