A Department of Public Safety trooper was involved in a one-vehicle wreck Tuesday morning in Port Lavaca on state Highway 238 East and South Commerce Street.

While en route to another wreck, Trooper Ronald Johnson, 27, of Port Lavaca, lost control of the car as he tried to make a left turn in the rain, said Trooper Gerald Bryant. The car struck a telephone pole and overturned.

Johnson was taken to Memorial Medical Center in Port Lavaca, where he was released without injuries.
