South Texas College of Law students, Chris Jordan, of Victoria, and Avi Moshenberg, took first place at the 22nd Annual National First Amendment Moot Court Competition at Vanderbilt University. Teams of law students from across the U.S. debated a hypothetical case involving the display of a 9/11 memorial with a religious symbol on government property. Jordan is a 2005 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Victoria and a 2009 graduate of the University of Texas.

His parents, Kevin and Suzanne Jordan, and grandfathers, Tom Buckert and Richard Jordan, all live in Victoria. He is also the son of the late Cynthia Jordan.
