A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery Monday night.

Florentino Tovar was robbed of anywhere between $500 to $600 cash in the 2100 block of North Levi St., said Victoria Patrol Officer Kelly Luther.

No weapons were displayed, but the victim sustained minor physical injuries. He called the Victoria Police Department, who arrived on the scene at about 6:40 p.m.

The two men were acquaintances, Luther said.

Tovar was still on the scene when officers arrived. He told police a different story, Luther said, but subsequent investigation led them to side with the victim.

Tovar was arrested and booked at the Victoria County Sheriff's Office.
