Extension Education Association hosts annual luncheon

Victoria Extension Education Association's 2011 annual meeting and Christmas luncheon was at the Victoria Electric Co-Op recently. There were 42 people in attendance with guests from Calhoun County. VEEA Chairman Carrol David presided over the meeting.

Ruby Sellers, VEEA's treasurer, recognized the club winners who sold pecans and peanuts. The winners were Raisin-Coletoville, first; Telferner, second; Everready, third; and Pleasant Green, fourth.

Raisin-Coletoville was recognized as the club of the year. Jo Ann Bone, club president, accepted the engraved plaque. Ann Hagel, vice chairman of VEEA and president of Telferner Extension Education Club, received the Angel Award, presented by VEEA chairman Carrol Davig.

Entertainment was provided by The Grumpy Old Men.
