Jimmy Zaplac and Joe Ortega, sales associates with Coldwell Banker The Ron Brown Company, have been named to the company's International President's Elite. Only the top 2 percent of all sales associates worldwide in the Coldwell Banker system qualified for this distinguished group.
Janet Charbula, Kathleen Coker, Penny Holz, Keith Krueger and Susan Orsak, sales associates with Coldwell Banker The Ron Brown Company, earned membership in the company's International Diamond Society, a level achieved by only the top 8 percent of all sales associates worldwide in the Coldwell Banker system.
Nelda Chambers, of Cornerstone Properties Downtown in Victoria, was one of more than 1,000 Texas Realtors attending the Texas Association of Realtors meeting Feb. 24-28 at the Hyatt Regency Austin. Chambers serves on the nominating committee for the Texas Association of Realtors that makes decisions on incoming officers for the state organization.
Mark Ward Sr., an assistant professor of communication at the University of Houston-Victoria, presented a research paper titled "The Violent Organization: Toward a Theory that Accounts for Violence as an Organizational Value" at the Symbolic Violence Conference March 1-4 in Bryan.
Chad Abston was named the February Employee of the Month at the University of Houston-Victoria. He is the multimedia specialist in the School of Business Administration and has worked at UHV since 2008. Abston received a framed certificate and a $50 gift card.
