Thank you, thank you, thank you, for the community news page in the Advocate last week. People are interested in what is going on in our town. Also, the photos are a plus.
I would just like to point out to Gay (Speak Out, Tuesday) that there are other ways of keeping people in school. The ones who are skipping aren't all on government assistance.
What has Spanish got to do with keeping anybody in school?
Sounds to me like she is just jealous, and she should be thankful that there is another language that these people can speak.
She needs to get a life and not worry about the Spanish-speaking people.
This is to Gay, who always ignites bigotry. What a shame the hate you bestow. I'll bet you are also in church every Sunday. I pray for you.
The reason why government subsidized housing, as well as welfare and all sorts of other benefits, even exists in the first place is because companies just aren't paying a living wage.
If you work the hours and you can't afford food, shelter and some sort of minimal luxuries, then the system is broken.
