Highway work planned for Goliad, Refugio counties

The Texas Department of Transportation in Corpus Christi has announced the following road closures for repairs in the coming week:
U.S. Highway 183 will be closed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Traffic will alternate between single lane closures from the south end of state Highway 119 south toward Goliad at two-mile intervals to rebuild the travel lanes. The contractor will cement treat the existing roadway base then add an overlay of hot mix asphalt.
U.S. Highway 77 will be closed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday. The state will close single lanes southbound on Monday from two miles north of the Aransas River to the river at the Refugio-San Patricio County line to level the roadway surface.
U.S. Highway 77 will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. The state will close single lane closure northbound from the Aransas River at the Refugio-San Patricio County line to Farm-to-Market 136 in Woodsboro to level the roadway surface.
Farm-to-Market 774 will continue to be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday. TxDOT will continue single lane closures from east of Refugio to just before state Highway 35 to make edge repairs. Traffic will be controlled by a flag crew.
