Traffic stop leads to car chase

A man was arrested after leading police on a chase on April 25.
Michael Cesares, 40, of Victoria, was arrested on manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance charges and evading arrest in a vehicle.
Cesares, who was driving a silver Chevrolet Impala, refused to stop when Victoria police officers attempted to stop him in the 2000 block of North Navarro Street at around 11:40 a.m. He fled, causing a police chase, according to a news release from the Victoria Police Department.
The pursuit ended at the intersection of North Navarro Street and East Crestwood Drive.
His passenger, a 35-year-old man was not arrested.
