Trial begins for Victoria man charged with sexual assault

Tuesday marked the first day of testimony in the case of a Victoria man charged with sexual assault.
Michael Martinez, 29, is charged with sexually assaulting a woman in December 2009, according to the indictment issued in July 2010.
Martinez is being represented by attorney Tali Villafranca.
Victoria County Assistant District Attorney Johnna Stallings is prosecuting the case.
The case will resume at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Judge Robert Cheshire's courtroom.
