Generals add two pitchers to roster

The Victoria Generals have added a pair of pitchers who were selected in the Major League Baseball Draft to their 2012 Texas Collegiate League roster.

Jordan Harrison and Trae Davis will join the Generals for the upcoming season, according to Generals general manager Blake Koch.

Harrison was selected in the 30th round of the 2009 draft by the Mets following his senior year at New Caney.

He is currently attending Louisiana-Lafayette, where he has 3-3 record and 3.80 ERA.

Davis, a sophomore at Baylor, was selected in the 29th round of the 2010 draft by the Texas Rangers following his senior year at Mexia.

He has made seven appearances for the Bears this season and has a 4.35 ERA with four strikeouts in 10 1/3 innings.

The Generals home opener is June 3 against the Acadiana Cane Cutters at Riverside Stadium.
