Editor, the Advocate:
The April 27 Advocate "Public Safety" article states that Mexico seized 68,000 guns from the U.S. since 2006. Says who? Has the NRA verified the serial numbers? Mexico's Calderon at the April 2 North American summit in Washington credited Obama's attempt to stop the flow but blamed the Republicans for the problems. This from a leader of a third world country to our south that thrives on "Mordida," (Graft) which helped create their drug problem in the first place. Calderon is like the North Koreans, when you fail, blame the U.S. ATF data of 2007-11 of many guns sized in Mexico and submitted to ATF for tracing is misleading as many could be 10 out of 15 weapons submitted. This issue has come up before and found foreign military weapons going into Mexico through Guatemala. Obama and his administration blame us for the world's ills while the Democratic party blames it all on the Republicans and socialist college professors bend the minds of our children while we do nothing. Meanwhile, Calderon and his ilk tell their hungry populace our borders are open and this land belongs to them. When you are out of work and our high school students have lost their summer landscaping jobs, remember this; illegal immigrant's income under the table and regular income amounts to about $40 billion a year sent to Mexico, which is Mexico's second national income to Pemex Oil.
