A woman had to be cut from her car and taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash early Monday morning.
At 1:34 a.m., the Victoria Fire Department responded to a passerby's report of a crash at the intersection of North Ben Wilson Street and Continental Street.
One of the vehicles struck a utility pole and the driver was trapped inside the vehicle.
The fire department used the Jaws of Life to remove the woman from her vehicle, said Battalion Chief Roger Hempel.
She was then transported to Citizens Medical Center.
The other vehicle only sustained minor damage, Hempel said.
AEP spokesman Elgin Janssen said only one customer was temporarily without service due to the crash.
