A one-vehicle accident on North Laurent Street and East Airline Road was responsible for a power outage Sunday morning in Victoria.

AEP spokeswoman Jessica Davila-Burnett, of Corpus Christi, said a vehicle struck a pole at 2:15 a.m., which caused a power outage for 1,319 people. By 3:12 a.m., 1,232 accounts were restored. The remaining 87 accounts were restored at 5:55 a.m., when the outage was completely restored.

Victoria Police Sgt. Lee Lemmons confirmed a vehicle struck the pole, and the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

No other information on the driver was immediately available Sunday night.
