DeTar receives award for health care quality

DeTar Healthcare Systems received the silver award from the Texas Health Care Quality Improvement Awards Committee.
The award is for the demonstration of improved performance on national quality measures in health care quality.
Specifically, the hospital improve care in acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service and Joint Commission has designated these areas a national health priorities.
DeTar is one of 118 hospitals that received the silver award, 35 won the bronze award and two won the gold award.
