A Chandler Elementary School student celebrated the school year's end a bit early Thursday -- with a toast.
The fifth-grader brought a margarita to school and offered sips to classmates, said Diane Boyett, communications director for the Victoria school district.
When one student alerted the teacher to what was in the cup, the drink was confiscated.
While the school disciplined those students who sipped the drink, the child who brought the margarita was referred to the school resource officer.
