A blowout on a Sun Air plane delayed travel to Houston on Thursday afternoon.

Victoria County Fire Marshal Ron Pray said the pilot realized there was a flat as he was rolling to the runway.

"Maintenance from the airport swapped the tire and got it back to the terminal," Pray said. "They swapped the plane, then got the people on the flight."

Airport Manager Jason Milewski said flat tires and blowouts are not uncommon.

"It was relatively minor," he said.

There were no injuries or damage because of the tire issue, he said.
