In honor of Veteran's Day, a poem: "Symbols of Our Flag"
They didn't have to put their lives in harm's way.
They went anyway, for us and those in need.
Many brave soldiers did not return home; they will always shine brightly as the stars at night.
Each time we gaze at the stars on our flag, we'll remember our brave soldiers, who defend us, night and day.
They shed their blood for liberty, and those red stripes that wave remind us why.
The purity of helping and defending those in need. The white stripes remind us each day they wave.
And the blue represents God's great domain, where now our brave soldiers reign.
