Editor, the Advocate:
I attended the Ganado I.S.D. 19th annual Veterans Day program Nov. 9. I would like to thank everyone involved in such an outstanding event.
I was invited to meet two classmates who I graduated with in 1968 from Ganado High School - Leonard Sternadel, retired, U.S. Army; and Robert Supak. Both are Vietnam veterans.
Many thanks to Ganado I.S.D.; Mr. Jeff Black, superintendent; Jonel Knuppel, program coordinator; Ganado High School Band; Ganado Elementary Chorus and guest speaker Kristi Clingingsmith Rogers, U.S. Air Force, retired. I cannot say enough about her presentation and emotional speech.
All of the Jackson County Veterans in attendance were recognized by marching to the front by the music of the Army, Marines, Air Force and Navy. The history and "The Story of Taps" was great.
Ganado I.S.D. is a reflection of its school board, superintendent, administration and faculty making Ganado I.S.D. No. 1.
