I've heard that the University of Houston-Victoria has put together its annual report. What exactly is in the report, and where can I find it?

Every November, the University of Houston-Victoria assembles a report and series of videos about the state of the university. The annual report is designed to make information about UHV available to a wider audience. The report was unveiled during the Nov. 15 President's Annual Report & Excellence Awards presentation.

"History in the Making," a report covering 2011-12, is now available online at The theme "History in the Making" is a nod to both the history and future of UHV. While several elements of the report reflect back on the past year, it also sets the table for the university's 40th anniversary year.

The annual report includes: •  Student and alumni accomplishments

•  Faculty and staff achievements

•  Enrollment and financial figures

•  A list of UHV donors

•  Athletic and student life highlights

•  A photo gallery from the dinner and awards ceremony

Annual report website visitors also can watch a number of videos featuring students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members talking about how UHV has helped them make history.

In the videos, interview subjects describe in their own words success stories from the four schools at the university: Arts & Sciences, Business Administration, Education & Human Development and Nursing. In another video, Victoria business owners and members of community organizations discuss what partnering with UHV has meant to them. The "Time For Fun" video captures the essence of student life and sports at the university.

Also included on the website are videos of speeches and awards given out during the annual report dinner. The Victoria Independent School District received this year's Community Organization Partnership Award, and the Community Business Partnership Award went to Ashley Furniture HomeStore. UHV junior Moses Olukoya was chosen for the Student Leadership Award.

In an effort to be environmentally friendly and add multimedia elements to the annual report, there are no paper versions. The entire report can be viewed online. A PDF version is available online, as well, for those who prefer to print out and the read the annual report.
