A woman was rescued from her upside-down minivan in a dry creek bed Thursday morning.

About 6:35 a.m., Victoria Fire Department emergency personnel responded to a one-vehicle rollover on Old Goliad Road at Dry Creek Road.

Deborah Boswell, 41, was found to be trapped in a 2009 Honda Odyssey on its roof in the creek bed, said Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Trooper Gerald Bryant.

"We used extrication tools to get her out," said Fire Department Battalion Chief Shannon Martin.

Boswell said that she swerved to miss a deer and ran off the culvert bridge. The minivan flipped once and landed in the creek bed, Bryant said.

The woman was taken by ambulance to DeTar Hospital Navarro, where she was treated and released, said Bryant.
