Laureate Alpha Omicron Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met recently in the home of Sue Lynn Hatcher with Frances Smith presiding. Margaret Williams served as co-hostess.

Joann Locher presented the program on the state convention that was in June in Irving. She modeled her Mad Hatter costume, which won first prize. She explained the programs and agenda of the various events. The chapter was urged to attend next summer's convention at Moody Gardens in Galveston.

Correspondence included: a notification that Joyce Parker and Louise Pletcher are eligible to receive the master's degree; a three-star chapter rating from international and various thank-you notes for courtesies extended. The international office also wants to know each chapter's opinions about having an international convention in Kansas City.

Susana Moya asked members to start collecting toiletries, etc., for a shower for Perpetual Help Home in November.

The chapter will host the city wide social at the home of Joann Locher at 7 p.m. Oct. 25. Xi Psi Tau will be invited, and a Halloween bunco party is planned.
