"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and Lean not unto your own understandings."
- Proverbs 3:5
I knew that this Oceans for Emotions was going to be printed on pink paper when it came out today in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Week, so I wanted to follow that theme in my article. Writing a fishing/God article about breast cancer awareness was even a stretch for me.
As I turned on to the Magnolia Beach road, I started praying that I would trust in the Lord to help me be able to do this seemingly impossible task. I had planned to fish at night under the lights, but as I turned on the beach road, after crossing the crabbing bridge, I came to a shell scattering stop when I saw the bay.
God had left one ray of light from the setting sun and the whole bay out in front of me was pink, pink, pink. In all of my 70 years of fishing, I had never seen this phenomenon. All I could do was sit and stare at it and worship the God who knew the needs of his people who just wrote about breast cancer awareness and to those he loved who actually had breast cancer.
Dear Lord, what a mighty God you are. Thank you for seeing to all the needs of those who trust in you.
