Why must needs of all give way to needs of few?

Editor, the Advocate:

I attended Wednesday's meeting about cutting the Nursery Post Office hours because it isn't making a profit. Since the post offices benefit ALL Americans, shouldn't our taxes help make up the difference?

What really causes me grave concern is that programs that benefit all Americans, such as the military (our protection), education (our children's futures) and now post offices (our communication) are being cut and are increasing unemployment. But programs that benefit a FEW Americans and do not make profits have been increased, such as company and agency bailouts and stimulus packages. I have not received any stimulus package, have you? But I have been affected by the cuts.

If we have no military, are uneducated and have poor communication, how hard would it be for our once powerful nation to be taken over? I don't know about you, but I like my lifestyle in America and do not want to lose it. Do you?
