The man who was driving a bus when it crashed on Saturday morning has been released from the hospital.
Clint Parks, 67, was driving the St. Joseph High School volleyball team to Austin for its district game when he lost control of the bus on U.S. Highway 183 North in Gonzales County.
The bus, filled with 27 students, three coaches and Parks, left the roadway on the right shoulder for an unknown reason, hitting a road sign at U.S. Highway 183 and Cheapside Road. The bus rolled at least once before landing on its side in a ditch.
Parks was admitted to the Gonzales Healthcare Systems after the wreck. He was discharged on Sunday, Gonzales Healthcare Systems Administrator Chuck Norris said.
It is still unclear what caused the crash. The investigation is ongoing, Department of Public Safety Trooper Gerald Bryant said.
