Victoria College to open new vocational nursing program in Cuero

Victoria College on Thursday will host a ribbon cutting for its new vocational nursing facility in Cuero.
Community members are invited to join Cuero Community Hospital staff and Victoria College faculty, staff and administration at 10 a.m. for a presentation, tour and refreshments. The event occurs at the new facility, located behind Cuero Community Hospital at 2550 N. Esplanade St.
The 4,000-square-foot building includes a new nursing skills lab, computer lab, classroom and facility offices, said Larry Garrett, Victoria College's executive director of special projects.
Cuero Community Hospital built the facility and will maintain it, according to the release.
Victoria College, which has offered its nursing program in Cuero since 1984, provides the furnishings, technology and instruction.
