A Victoria man was transported to the Citizens Medical Center about 5 p.m. Sunday when he rear-ended a vehicle driving in front of him on North Ben Jordan Street.
Victoria Police Officer Sterling Kocian said Jason Brown was driving a blue 2003 Ford Expedition east on North Ben Jordan behind Britney Jordan's silver 2007 Kia Sorento when the cars wrecked in the 4600 block of the street.
Kocian said Jordan had swerved to the right shoulder of the road to dodge some debris in roadway when Brown's vehicle struck her car.
"He failed to control his speed and rear-ended her," Kocian said.
Brown was transported by ambulance to Citizens with minor injuries.
Jordan was transported by private vehicle to DeTar Navarro, the officer said.
No citations were issued, and Brown was listed at fault for the accident.
