Do your own fact checking before voting

Editor, the Advocate:
After listening to both conventions, I was appalled that God was removed and kind of put back in the Democratic platform. Where are the Christians who vote Democratic? How can you sit in the pews on Sunday and then condone and support partial birth abortion? How can you support same sex-marriage, a covenant from God, not society? I have seen numerous interviews with Democrats - all races and all ages - and the only common thread was they did not have a clue of the real issues facing this country. We need true leadership, not more promises of change that have not worked and will ruin this country if allowed to continue. If you think we have made progress over the last term, then nothing anyone can say will change your mind; but if you are just a little concerned, look at the facts. If you are in church, pick up the Bible and do some reading. If you are wondering what your children will be subject to, do your own fact checking. But, most importantly, what is your faith in God telling you? Vote your faith and values, not because of your party affiliation. Vote for what is right. Time is running out.
