After being hit by a red Mustang during a two-vehicle wreck, the control box was left out of commission at the intersection of Red River and Navarro streets on Wedensday.

An 18-year-old Victoria woman was transported to DeTar Hospital Navarro with injuries after a two-vehicle wreck Wednesday night.

The driver of a black Hyundai Sonata was traveling south on Navarro Street and ran a red light, striking a red Ford Mustang traveling west on Red River Street, said Officer J. Surber.

The Mustang then hit a control box, knocking out the traffic lights for the intersection, Surber said. He expected the control box to be out of service for at least a few hours.

Officers were directing traffic at the intersection Wednesday night.

The driver of the Sonata was taken to the hospital, but the two passengers in the Sonata and the driver of the Mustang did not report any injuries.

Officers would not release names of anyone involved in the wreck.
