Friends of Library hold end-of-summer book sale

Friends of the Library will have its End-of-Summer cook Sale starting Monday in the Bronte Room of the Victoria Public Library, 302 N. Main St.

Members of the organization can take part in a pre-sale from 2-4 p.m. Sunday. Memberships can also be purchased at that time.

The sale will be during normal library hours and conclude at noon Saturday when all remaining items will be half price. Saturday also features a $1 bag of books special.

Library hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday. The library also opens at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Books included in the sale are fiction, nonfiction, children, home schooling, art, medical, textbooks, religion and many more genres. Music, movies and other items have also been donated to the sale from Victoria County residents.

All proceeds of the sale are used to buy books and other materials for the Victoria Public Library as well as fund reading and enrichment programs.
