Greg Haynes, partner in Victoria Insurance Group, was recently recognized for professional leadership and advance knowledge by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors. He was awarded a certificate marking more than 15 years of participation as a designated certified insurance counselor.
Bob Hesse, of the financial services firm Edward Jones in Victoria, recently won the firm's Edward Jones Sr. Founders Award for his achievement in building client relationships.
Michele Salas has been named district manager for Wells Fargo in the Crossroads district, with responsibility for 12 banks and 124 team members. As a district manager, Salas ensures that bank team members work closely with Wells Fargo's retail customers in the Crossroads area to meet all their financial needs and help them succeed financially.
Christy Rowley joins Victoria College's Financial Aid Office as a financial aid counselor. Prior to joining VC, Rowley worked as a teller at First Victoria National Bank and has worked as a registrar at a year-round camp in her hometown of Tyler. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Journalism.
Mandi Overby joins Victoria College as a financial aid counselor. She has also worked in financial aid at Austin Community College and Coastal Bend College. She holds a bachelor's degree in communications and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Victoria.
Michele Rohde, a local Edward Jones financial advisor, was recently nominated as Victoria Professional Express Network's American Business Women Association Top Ten Women of the Year 2012.
Ken Callarman was recently hired by First Victoria National Bank as the senior vice president and commercial lending officer for the main banking center in Victoria. He has five years prior experience with First Victoria and 34 years of overall banking experience.
