Four Victoria men were arrested on drug charges Tuesday after officers served warrants at a home in the 900 block of South Depot Street.
At 6:30 a.m., the Victoria Police Department Special Crimes Unit and the Victoria County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team served the warrants, within 1,000 feet of Gross Elementary School, and located crack cocaine and prescription pills, according to a news release from the police department.
Gregorio Baladez, 30; Alexander Salazar, 36; and Rudy Salazar, 43, were charged with manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance in a drug-free zone and engaging in organized criminal activity.
Salazar and Mark Perez, 50, were charged with possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone.
The investigation is ongoing and Sgt. Eline Moya, spokeswoman for the police department, said they do not know at this time if the activity was gang related.
She said the arrests stemmed from Crime Stoppers tips and narcotics investigations.
